I would show you the progress in the back bed, but it sure doesn’t look like much at the moment. Just a bunch of dead grass and some little scrawny plants. The white potato vines that Nana bought me were looking pretty limp in their pots, so I went ahead and put them in the ground.
They seem much happier now. We are way behind on vegetable gardening for Fall, but maybe we’ll catch up soon. The peppers are still going strong, so they are going to stay put, but we need to put in carrots and lettuce. Is it too late for garlic?
My other recent project, mulching the big peach tree with the lasagne method, was thwarted by a certain canine with a taste for cardboard. Do you see the evil in her eyes?
I started my new job on the 22nd and it’s going well. It’s a big change, but I think it’s going to work out. What a relief!
Still plenty of time for fall gardening. The soil is still way too hot and it is a struggle to keep those vegs happy at the moment. I think October November are the best times and that is when you plant garlic. The Extension service probably has a page outlining planting times.
Hi! Just discovered your blog this morning! I am still trying to get my winter garden going also….we still have time.
Enjoyed the picture of your dog helping you mulch! Mine create havoc in my garden quite often. Frustrating but its just what dogs do, I guess.
It was nice to see my site on your blog list. Thanks! I’m going to add you to my list. It seems we have a lot in common (even the CSI part! LOL) I look forward to hearing more about your garden and pet adventures!
